Topic
Our Topic lessons are designed to spark curiosity in Key Stage 2 students by exploring history, geography, and social studies in an engaging way. Our curriculum dives into the world’s diverse cultures, past and present, making these subjects come alive. In history, students learn about key events and figures, gaining a sense of chronology and understanding how history shapes the present.
Geography lessons help students appreciate the planet’s physical and human landscapes, teaching them skills like map reading and environmental awareness. Through interactive projects, students also explore societal structures and cultural practices, which fosters empathy and critical thinking. Our KS2 Humanities program is all about building knowledge and skills that encourage students to become informed, thoughtful, and active global citizens.
Assessments are a core part of our online Topic lessons. During live-taught sessions, our teachers continuously evaluate students through coursework, assignments, and tests. This ongoing assessment ensures that students have a solid grasp of the material and are progressing well in their studies.
To reinforce what’s been learned in class, we assign homework at the end of each half-term. These projects are connected to the current theme and give students a hands-on way to apply their knowledge from our online KS2 Topic classes.
We make it easy for parents to keep track of their child’s progress. With 24/7 access to all their child’s work, assignments, and grades through our secure online portal, parents are always in the loop. Additionally, we offer three parent consultations each year—one each term—to discuss progress, address any concerns, and set goals for future learning.
