Art & Design
At our school, Key Stage 2 (KS2) Art & Design is all about inspiring creativity and self-expression. Our dynamic curriculum allows students to dive into a variety of artistic techniques and mediums, from drawing and painting to sculpture and digital art. Through hands-on projects and collaborative activities, students explore visual elements like colour, form, and texture while learning about influential artists and diverse cultural art forms.
In our online art and design program, ongoing assessments are key to tracking student progress. During live-taught lessons, teachers continuously assess students through the marking of coursework, assignments, and tests. This approach ensures that students fully grasp the subject and continue to grow in their artistic skills.
To deepen their understanding, we assign homework at the end of each half-term. These projects are tied to the current theme and give students a practical way to apply what they’ve learned in our online KS2 Art & Design classes.
We make it easy for parents to stay connected with their child’s progress. Parents have 24/7 access to all their child’s work, assignments, and grades through our secure online portal. Additionally, we host three parent consultations each year—one per term—to discuss progress, address any concerns, and set future learning goals.
