Mathematics
Cambridge International’s Lower School Maths provides a top-tier online education platform for secondary school students, focusing on Key Stage 3 Maths.
Our curriculum is designed to make mathematics an engaging and interconnected discipline, equipping students with essential skills for daily life and future careers in fields like science, technology, engineering, and finance.
Through our online maths lessons, students explore a wide range of mathematical concepts, tackling both historical and contemporary problems to build a deep and lasting understanding of the subject.
Our continuous assessment approach ensures that students receive thorough and consistent feedback throughout their learning journey. Expert educators conduct assessments during live-taught lessons, including the marking of coursework, assignments, and the administration of summative tests.
This rigorous evaluation process guarantees that our online maths classes adhere to the highest academic standards, helping students stay on track and achieve their full potential.
Homework is a crucial part of our educational strategy, assigned weekly to reinforce the concepts covered in class.
These assignments are carefully designed to deepen students’ understanding of key mathematical ideas, featuring research tasks, quizzes for review, and engaging subject-related activities.
This approach ensures that students not only retain what they learn but also apply it effectively in different contexts.
We believe in maintaining transparent communication between parents and educators. Parents have 24/7 access to a secure online portal where they can monitor their child’s coursework, grades, and teacher feedback.
This constant access allows parents to stay informed about their child’s progress, and they can also schedule consultations with teachers at convenient times to discuss academic performance, celebrate achievements, or address any concerns.
By choosing Cambridge International’s Lower School Maths, you’re investing in a comprehensive and engaging online maths education that prepares your child for success in both academics and life.

Students receive a top-tier mathematics education that builds a strong foundation for understanding the world through mathematical reasoning.
Our program not only enhances their ability to think critically but also fosters an appreciation for the beauty and power of mathematics.
By cultivating a genuine sense of enjoyment and curiosity, we inspire students to explore and excel in the subject.
The national curriculum for mathematics aims to ensure that all pupils:
- become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics, including through varied and frequent practice with increasingly complex problems over time, so that pupils develop conceptual understanding and the ability to recall and apply knowledge rapidly and accurately.
- reason mathematically by following a line of enquiry, conjecturing relationships and generalisations, and developing an argument, justification or proof using mathematical language
- can solve problems by applying their mathematics to a variety of routine and nonroutine problems with increasing sophistication, including breaking down problems into a series of simpler steps and persevering in seeking solutions.
Key Topics Taught
- Number
- Algebra
- Ratio, proportion and rates of change
- Geometry and measures
- Probability
- Statistics
A scientific calculator is mandatory. The lessons will be delivered via the virtual classroom, which consists of a virtual whiteboard that both students and the teacher can write upon.
In mathematics, drawing diagrams and handwriting calculations is key to learning, so all students will be required to purchase a graphics tablet and stylus pen in order to be able to answer problems on the whiteboard.
Students will be expected to take notes so a lined paper will also be necessary, alongside a ruler, protractor and drawing compass. A printer and scanner will also be useful.
Reading Material
Nothing mandatory as we expect the lessons to be self-contained, but some recommended textbooks are the CGP KS3 Maths Workbook & Study Guides and Collins KS3 Workbooks.
